Lionel Messi Buys $10.75M Fort Lauderdale Waterfront Mansion
Lionel Messi, the soccer sensation, has sparked America's soccer passion
The ticket and merchandise frenzy sparked by the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner's debut for Florida club Inter Miami
this summer has been nicknamed Messi Mania—and by the looks of his most recent investment, the 36-year-old is setting down roots in the region.
Messi just paid $10.75 million for a 10-bedroom, nine-and-a-half-bathroom mansion in Fort Lauderdale.
The property is located beside a canal in the gated neighborhood of Bay Colony and features a pool and a three-car garage.
Images reveal a somber foyer draped in a black wallpaper, but a significantly lighter and more modern atmosphere is evident throughout the remainder of the residence.
Recessed lighting, neutral-toned furnishings, and white walls dominate the open concept kitchen and living room,
with the exception of a prominent black accent wall in the living space. Each of the rooms shown has nearly floor-to-ceiling windows.
