Zelda Tears of the Kingdom contributed 35% of Q1 software sales with 18.51 million units.

On the Nintendo Switch, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom succeeds significantly, selling almost as many copies in a quarter as Elden Ring had sold in his whole career. 

In its first quarter of release, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has sold close to 19 million copies. 

On the Switch, Tears of the Kingdom has achieved astounding success.  

The latest earnings report from Nintendo shows that in just over a month, the new iconic RPG has sold 18.51 million copies.  

To put that amount in context, it exceeds Elden Ring's first six months' total sales and comes close to matching Elden Ring's 20 million-dollar annual sales total. 

With 15.7 million copies sold in its first seven weeks on the market, the new Zelda performed so well that it assisted Nintendo in setting a new Q1 record for first-party game sales. 

Our data shows that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom accounted for 35% of all software sales for Nintendo in the first quarter.
